There's something about this album that pulled me in--I can't stop listening to it. I know approximately nothing about music, so I can't really articulate why without sounding ridiculous. But every song on here moves me in a way most stuff I listen to doesn't. (Also I picked Home to Me as my favorite track, but so far it's a toss-up between that, One Hundred Rooms, and Ashland. But seriously the whole album is just gorgeous.) margot
Powerful collection rooted in the stories that must be re-told. Played by some of the most generous community music people I’ve met during my foray into Old Time music.

1st time i heard DeathWish, i turned it off.
felt rushed, not the Isbell i've come to admire. really grab'd me when i took time to listen on the 2nd try. the writing on these songs stopped me in my tracks more than once. raw talent with just enough polish in the delivery.
thankyou Jason + 400 for another keeper swirlingmadness
